Title sequence analysis
The film “Flipped” talks about an interesting war between boys and girls in the 1960s in an American town in their adolescence. At the beginning, a brisk bell sound brought the audience into the atmosphere of the film. The main tone of color of the film is warm-pink, followed by two close-ups.One is a little girl looking at something intently, and the other one is a puzzled expression of a little boy sitting outside in a car. The film first like to tell the story to the audience from the perspective of the little boy. In the second half of the film, it tells audience another story from the perspective of a little girl. The film uses two protagonists perspectives to show the audience how the same story can be understand differently indifferent perspective. So that the audience can understand the story better and know their growth from this film. Close-up shots can make people feel the delicate emotions and changes of the two protagonists. In conclusion, the theme of the film is the feelings of adolescent young people, but in fact it is focus on their growth.
